About Us
Whitfield Basketball Academy, competing as Golden State Push, is dedicated to redefining youth development through basketball in the Bay Area and on national and international stages. We compete in premier tournaments across the U.S. and abroad, providing elite competition, exposure, and high-level development for our student-athletes.
Our program is built on four core values—Power, Unity, Strength, and Hustle—which shape how we train, compete, and represent ourselves on and off the court. We foster a culture of discipline, resilience, teamwork, and continuous growth, using basketball as a tool to develop confident athletes, strong leaders, and grounded individuals.
At Whitfield Basketball Academy, basketball is more than a game—it’s a family, a mindset, and a pathway to lifelong success.

Power
What it means: Playing with confidence, control, and purpose.
Standard: We impose our will without losing composure.
Unity
What it means: One team, one voice, one goal.
Standard: No ego, no excuses. We win and lose together.
Strength
What it means: Mental toughness as much as physical toughness. Mental is to physical as 4 is to 1.
Standard: We don't break, physically or mentally.

Hustle
What it means: Relentless effort when no one is watching.
Standard: Effort is non-negotiable.
Code of Conduct

Whitfield Basketball Academy’s Code of Conduct serves as a guiding framework to create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants. By upholding these standards, we live our core values and foster a culture rooted in respect, integrity, and sportsmanship—ensuring a meaningful and rewarding experience for everyone involved.

Student-Athletes are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship, respect, and fair play on and off the court. They are encouraged to control what they can, stay composed in the moment, and compete with purpose. Any form of verbal or physical abuse toward officials, teammates, or opponents will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or dismissal.

Parents and Guardians are asked to support their child’s growth and effort rather than focusing solely on wins and losses. Mistakes are part of development, and positive encouragement is essential. Parents should refrain from confronting officials and allow coaches to manage all in-game coaching responsibilities, addressing concerns respectfully after competition.

Coaches are committed to prioritizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and skill development while maintaining professionalism and respect toward all participants. Coaches are expected to model positive behavior, uphold the rules and spirit of the game, and foster a supportive environment where every athlete feels valued.
